I recently read an article on the importance of eating green leaf veggies in one of those health newletters that I subscribe to. It praised the greens for the vitamins, minerals, fiber content and of course the low calories. Totally agreed with everything except the recommended daily amount. It was 2 cups of greens per day (or was it per week). Now 2 cups of raw spinach is about 2 ounces or 60 grams. This is nowhere near what I eat each day. I take in at least 300 grams greens in a smoothie each day, almost 5 times the recommended value.
